At first i wasnt a big fan of my havocs, but now that they loosened up i like them alot more. I would go ahead and take them over the AQs.

I was thinking the low end of the Havocs would be better. I wasn't impressed by Andrizzle's vid (no offense) though and he was puttin 1500 to each. My friend will only be sending the sub 1000-1200 watts.

LOL, you can't tell anything from a video. I don't know why so many people think you can.

Do you have any idea how much difference there is in camera mics? My camera for example the mic does not pick up low frequencies at all. I could make a vid of my system that does 145s and it would seem like nothing.

I wasn't talking about the number. I was talking about the fact you feel the need to broadcast it. Personally I don't care what numbers I'm hitting as long as it has good SQ and great low-end. And a Blazer isn't a large vehicle, its a mid-size SUV. A Yukon XL is a large vehicle.

God Lord, anyone that would form an opinion of subwoofer in video as to how good or not good it is shouldn't be offering an opinion --- period.

State Property,

Well, being tuned at 37Hz for the enclosure, I don't see how you would expect to hit the lower freq's being tuned that high.

You could always throw a pound of polyfill in the box, that will knock down the tuning a bit.

lol yea i know phil haha, where can u get polyfill from, and where should it be placed at in the enclosure?

state...we had my bro's hdc3 12 in a 35 hz tuned box and it hits the lows but it isnt the cleanest doing it...its just the nature of the hdc3's because my bro listened to the hdc3 15 and said it sounded the same to him as his 12 hdc3...and for that reason alone I wouldnt be happy with the hdc3's

State,

Ya can get polyfill at a arts and crafts store or store that sells fabric's and stuff.

Put it in the area on the other side of the brace in the box, that should keep it from going anywhere, especially out the port!!!

you might need more than a pound in there to get it to make the difference your looking for...Id do at least 2 pounds but it will probably sound better with 3 pounds

yea there not really ment for low end, mostly for spl....but im still satisified with the output. lol

haha thanks phil i thought thats where you could get some....

"that should keep it from going anywhere, especially out the port!!!"

^^lol ok, that would b sort of funny seeing polyfill come out the port everytime the bass hits. haha

so place it towards the left side of the box against the port wall?

stuff it in at first to test the amount temporarily...try 2 pounds and listen and then 3 and listen and see what you like

make sure you dont disrupt proper air flow

I'm not saying I'm not a d1ck, but the only reason I'm a d1ck is because I just tell my opinion without sugar coating it. MS just acts like he knows everything and in the process tries to bring down anyone and everyone else in his soughtr out path of car audio righteousness.

Reece, while I can appreciate a person for offering their opinion without the politically correct bullsh!t attached to it, you fail to recognize one fact - no one person can know everything about anything.

You know what you know, MS knows what he knows, I know what know and everyone knows what they know and collectively with all that, we still don't know the half of it.

so phil place the polyfill towards the left side of the box against the port wall on the other side of the brace in that corner??

State,

Yeah, put in in that space between the port wall and the brace, that should hold a good pound or two, put, don't pack it to the point where the polyfill doesn't feel spongy or it defeats the whole point of using thepolyfill.

I know reece, its all good.

But in all honesty - I loved my havocs. Alot.

And I would never want to sell them, but I gotta get ready for comp season this summer - so dropping the havocs in that case is right.

Ben - I listed both sold because a buyer for the last Havoc said he sent me cash in the mail - then the other day he said he hasnt got around to it and hes trying to get paypal...

So its still first some first serve.

I didn't see your PM yesterday - Ill get to it now.
