No, if the amp is rated 800w RMS it will give you 800w.

What is this amp's actual model #?
What subs do you have?

the sellers like to show the max rating to fool the buyers into thinking its more power...rms is what matters

so i should be looking for a high rms rather than the amps peak power ?? I was considering buying a hifonics 2000 watt amp or maybe the collosis amp made by hifonics.

you better have the charging system to support it...

A kicker 2500 would be a good match or that sub imo, but you really need a stout charging system once you get into that much power. New alternator and a 2nd battery.

The hifinics bxi 2006d will work Bobby... It is Not the best amp for that sub, but it works great if you have a budget. That is what i'm running on each of my solo x's and you saw the vid... It really moves em. but you will need HO Alt. and 0 ga. and big 3 and audio dry cell battery to properly feed that system.
