OT - True dual exhaust

I had a Flowmaster 40 series install a few months ago. I notice the truck ran better but it did struggle when i would step on it hard. On saturday i got one second Flowmaster 40 series installed. Man the truck is now running like it should have been :B:.     |

Email Post Number: 4792 Registered: Nov-05 | theres a difference between an inline 4 and a boxter 4 .. i have a boxster 4 and it sounds completely different.. it has a rumble.. if youve heard any other subie/porsche with an exhaust they sound way different than a honda the pissed off bee sound from an inline 4 is annoying but my exhaust sounds no where near that so idk where your coming from  ...on the 89 honda thing.. heh i do have an 89 honda :P |

Gold Member Username: TejcurrentPost Number: 1208 Registered: Apr-07 | You can easily get smaller engines (v6 and 4 bangers) loud, but they rarely sound good. I had a v6 Mustang that sounded OK with flowmasters, but I was soo much happier with the sound of my Mustang GT. I got more compliments when I had no mufflers than when I had flowmasters lol. My parents own a ford E-350 van with the 460 and it is a beast lol. Even without exhaust there's just a nice deep sound, no offence to anyone but smaller engines just end up sounding like weed-wackers. There's just nothing like the sound of a huge engine. I'm probably putting 40 series on my Tahoe soon too :P |

I run SLPs on my mustang and i had all the cats cut out.. my goodness you would not believe the difference it made. sounds way better and its about twice as loud. helped a little the mpg and hp department too. if you haven't done that yet i highly suggest it. |
