I just got a new whip. I will be working with around 1500rms. I have always had multi sub setups(2 or 4) so I have decided to try a single 18. The Q and Bl are the same price so I am trying to weigh out which will be better for my app. I noticed the Q has a much lower fs then the Bl. 10 hz lower. I am pretty set on the Q b/c I am planning on tuning to 29 hz so I can murder the lows. Any opinions?

Just be careful pushing 1500w through the Q. It's rated for quite a bit less than that. Be smart about it.

for 1500rms and wanting to |2ape the lows.. find yourself a used RE SX 18" or RE XXX 18" .. i've seen of the used XXXs for 350-375 shipped

1500rms on a Q should be fine as long as the box is built to specs and its a clean signal

Any fi sub i would buy would be fully loaded. I have looked at the sx and xxx. I would prefer a brand new sub. not used. And a new re sub is out of the question. too $$$$. The sonance only comes in 10", 12", and 15" sizes. Also, I dont think it will handle 1500 rms terribly well seeing as it is rated for 750rms. My price range is 300-400. I like fi b/c i can order straight from the website and the prices are very fair.

Look on ebay, you can find a brand new 18" RE SX and it fits perfect in your price range. There's a few on there between now $299-$319+ shipping.
