I just need 1 15" for right now on my massive audio p3000.1. I can afford up to possibly $400 shipped on the sub. Here are some subs that I was thinking about already.

AudioQ HDC3 15"
Orion HCCA 15"
FI BTL 15"

Whatever you do, get a design from Pete Kulicki. I'd talk to him before buying a sub as well.

I'm considering a rd alpha single spider d4, and get another one in the coming weeks, that way I can hook them up to 1800rms on my massive amp @ 4ohms.

Y not the hdc315? and y would u go from two of the old aq's on 6000 rms to two rd's on 1800? not dissin your choice at all, just curious...6000rms sounds like heaven to me cause im only runnin 1200 or so, which does pound, but since im in college and dont have the money i dream about 5000rms or more everyday lol. my choice i would get two hdc315's and kept the 6000rms. or even get two of them on ur one amp.

I think an alpha with dual spiders and a flatwind coil would be a good choice. or if you could find a 5200 for 400 id get it as well

I don't care if you guys get an HCCA. My relationship with my DEI/Orion connection is quickly fading due to the fact that she is divorcing one of my best friends.

Polo knows the build of the HCCA... or maybe not. He must be kidding. I have auditioned the HCCA 15 and 12 several times and they are very clean for a driver that can get as loud as they can. IMO they are among the top of the current market. The only drawback is they need extreme power.
