On Christmas my parents bought me a 12" kicker L7 2ohm dvc sub 750watts rms. Since it's a 2ohm sub iv had a hard time finding an amp i found a JBL GTO 1201.1 787watts rms at 4ohms here's the details on it http://www.jbl.com/car/products/product_...
The sub is in a pretty big truck box behind the seat's of a 1995 ram 1500 i built the box myself and it is sealed not sure on how many cu it is but it is pretty big. Would this amp be ok on my sub iv heard different things like get a 2channel amp instead of a mono

You need a mono amp.

The amp needs to be 1 ohm stabe since the sub is DUAL 2 ohm.

Running at 4 ohm you would not get that amps full power.

An Audioque 1200d does 1200w more than enough for your sub, and its a good quality amp for $250.
