Am I going to see a huge difference between the Kolossus and the KLM?

Yes and no....

Kolossus is pure copper. KLM is copper clad aluminum. Its designed for lighter current loads. The KLM is also not as flexible as the kolossus. The KLM is great wire though and for the price it just cant be beat.

I have 1/0 KLM. I just ordered some krystal kables last night too.

Well now that i read your question, do you mean difference as in performance or looks and quality?

Performance there is not much difference. The KLM wont be able to handle as much current as pure copper, simply because its mostly aluminum with a copper coating....

Yeah I know all the differences between them, but these runs will be going to the batteries in the back and I just didn't know if I should just step up and buy Kolossus or not. I didn't think I would notice much difference.

You shouldn't notice any real difference as long as you use enough of either wire to match the amount of current you will be drawing. If more than 250a use 2 runs of the KLM, etc.

Is it really? I have Kolossus and it is copper clad aluminum as well. Did they change it or something?

Kolossus Kable 1/0 Blue Power Wire
( Knukonceptz Item #KOL1/0BL )

Description: Kolossus Kable 1/0 Blue Power Wire features 5145 Tinned Strands of Pure Oxygen Free Copper. Do not let its size fool you, the ultra fine 36awg strands still give this beast incredible flexibility. Coupled with a rugged PVC outer jacket that is impervious to grease and oil from your car while with-standing the extreme temperatures (-40 to 105 C) and capable loads of 300A. Price is per one foot.

I could have sworn that it was tinned aluminum but maybe I'm wrong unless they made a change. I think I have a piece laying around that I'll have to go look at. Maybe it's silver tinned copper and I was mistaken.

I'll take a look at home for the wire and see what it is. I have some installed but I don't feel like disconnecting something just to find out.

ive currently have both.
KLM seems to be great for what i paid for it. but it takes a little more work to run.

the kolossus is rediculously flexible. feels like a jelly worm. lol
i think it would be fine with klm(with a little more work) but it won't hurt to go with kolossus

kol=red klm=blue
Upload
the pic kinda makes the kol. look smaller but its not

I checked and the Kolossus is tinned COPPER. So I was wrong, I'm not sure what it's tinned with but I scraped it off and it was copper under there.
