The diamonds are more SQ subs. The 9500 is aimed for spl I think...maybe sql. Ive heard a mtx9500 in a pickup truck with a rockford t1000 and it was loud as hell. He was hitting low to mid 140's on music.

I think with 1000w total there would be better subs to choose from, only because the D6's will handle near 1000w each.

Are you looking for something louder or what?

what if mtx had 1800 rms on it and the mtx is a spl sub if that makes a diff its massive compared to my diamonds reason i am asking is my buddy can gt a 9500 and a MTX TA81001 for 800 dollars brand new and was deciding if i should go with that

If i was you I would go with a bigger amp for your D6's. 1800w on 2 D6's would most likely get louder and sound way better than a 95.


$800 for that equipment is not that great of a deal.

i have seen 4 9500s doing mid 150s

mid to high 40s on music ... they get loud ...

I'm not saying it's a bad price, It's about the same price you would pay online. I thought you were were getting at that it was on sale or some super price or something. Not a bad price, just saying it's not like a deal you cant pass up. Misinterpretation on my part there.


I've never heard a 9500 in person, so I can't say whether they are good or bad. I would still take the 2 D6's on 1800w over the 9500 on 1800w (twice the cone area and most likely better SQ), but thats just my opinion.

MTX 9500 series are single 4ohm and dual 4ohm.
