My cousin works there, and it weird how things work. You could have 2 products of different brands that are practically the same exact thing, that are the same shelf price, and the price the store pays for one brand could be near twice as much as the other brand. So it's not necessarily what kind of product it is, or what the price on the shelf is, but simply the brand. And thats not name brand compared to generic, they could be equal competitors with equal demand on the products. |

Silver Member Username: Ruthless06C-ville, Va USA Post Number: 206 Registered: Feb-06 | i work at best buy in cville, im install lead there. discount is pretty nice. alpine type-r 10 is 105 on discount. there is no set percent or anything. you get product at cost + 5%. and there are pretty good accommodations as well. like there is an infinity accommodation right now you can get kappa perfects for like 60 bucks a piece. as far as power stuff we only carry a few limited power series thing, no subs or amps. which sucks pdx amps are coming soon i heard, so discount will be nice on those. |

Tell you what, the sh!t BB sells sucks big donkey Balls, it is literally sh!t. The best thing you can purchase there is there extended warrantee. You can be all proud to work there, bragg you are lead installed but the fact is that only proves one thing, you wear knee pads, lmfao! 5% over cost is not that great, look at what they pay for each unit, they buy such a huge quantity but the price per unit is high because they inflate that to keep you scrubs from cashing in. They keep you going by letting departments bonus which again isn't sh!t if you actually do win. If anyone wants to know why when you go into there to buy something they are on you like flies on sh!t, they are not on commission but are pressured to bonus. Always be proud of your job but be prepaird to lose it to one day you will need a "BigBoy" job... Polo.  |
