I think I have asked this before, but do you think the fact that I have 4ga wire is holding me back at all? I turn it up as loud as it goes and my lights never even flicker, so I am wondering if its not getting all the power its supposed to. Its a bxi2006 amp.

Yeah. You need some heavier cable ASAP. I don't see how that would be all the excursion with 1.6 kW or w/e.

Also, check that you have the voice coils wired for your target load.

ok so the pan was a joke, obviously. Although Id like to see a sub that makes a pan do that. And I will check all my wiring tomorrow but I am pretty sure that is I have everything wired right. Maybe the amp just isnt putting out enough and I need a bigger amp.

And it an "Oversized 2ga terminal" so it should accept something higher.

my gain is actually very high. If it was any lower than obviously it wasnt loud at all. I cant check my wires cause I dont have a DMM anymore. Is there any place where I can rent one or something? yeah I dont want to buy a new one.

I also forgot to mention that I did have the volume up about as high as it would go before it would distort.

wow that excursion is almost non existant. Makes my video look good lol. no offense just somthing has gotta be hooked up wrong or somthing. theres no way 4 gawoukd hold it back that much. i think you must be wired into 4 ohms or somthing.

yea cuz mine and mike loudons alpha get hella loud on 1500-1700 watts. and if you watch one of mikes vids you see everything in his car shaking same with mine. go to your local audio shop and have them check all your connections if you cant do it yourself. let them tell you what you did wrong and fix it yourself. im sure they wont charge you to check it out

Ok yeah I am going to adjust the gain, but tell me if this is going to be fine....

I wired the negative of one coil to the negative of the other coil, then I have a wire running from the negative of the 2nd coil to the neg on the terminal, and the same for the positives. So basically I am asking..is it ok to have 2 wires running into the 2nd coil? Get what I mean?

so your saying you have neg to neg and then another wire coming from one of the negs to the terminal and then u have the same thing for the posotive side?

if so yes your correct

1 ohm should look like this. the first picture

i had lots of experience with that amp..

you need heavy wire.. i noticed that the amp if you dont feed it right it wont pump too much power... as you increase yoru voltage and current they willg et louder.... they are damn good amplifiers for the money you should use atleast 2 gauge wire jus tbecause yoru lights dont flicker or dim doesnt mean you can use regular 4 gauge instead of 2-0 gauge
