I cant decide on what subs and what size subs to get. Im looking to do an SQL set up. I am leaning towards 2 15s or 4 10s. I am looking into AudioQ, Fi, and Si but i am open to suggestions. This is goin into the cab of an extended cab f150. The back seats are removed and i will build a ported box for whatever i get.

alphas like 2k each tho. unless you get an 18" alpha id go with some fi q, or bl 15's, you could also get re sx 15's, and icon 15's all of thoes will get insanely loud and sound very good.

supposedly the sx wont have good sq but i gotta say so far i love mine i have my gain all the way down and they aren't even fully broken in yet and they are still pretty loud and personally i think the sq is good at worst.

BLs need 1500 watts, Mark. Not to mention that RD makes a single spider Alpha that is 1000 rms.

Well you can get the single spider as cam and Reece have already mentioned. they will take up to 1500wrms, best off of 1000wrms trust me. the 2000wrms is more SPL oriented.

c'mon Mark I thought you knew this, especially since Chad even has the single spider.

I was looking to buy alphas a while ago before i got my sx's and i was told that the single spider v2's had an rms of 2k watts and that the dual was 2500. i beleive thats also what kevin said when i called up low hz cant remember tho but i deffinately remember him saying that they are pretty efficient and would do good on 1000.

personally i didnt get them because i didnt think that the pair would get as loud on 2k as the sx's since i thought they could handle more power. i hope i wasnt horribly mistaken cuz i had an amazing deal lined up for a pair of V2's. BNIB for only $500!!!

That is wrong, the v2 single is 1000wrms, up to 1500wrms, dual spider is 2000wrms to 2500wrms

it even says on their site 1500/2000wrms to try to incorporate the two versions of the Alpha v2.

just one alpha is extremely efficient, gets loud and sounds great even loud.

just curious, who was gonna let you get 2 alphas for $500? your friend right?

hes more of an aquaintance than a friend. he sold them already tho. and i also forgot they were dual 2 ohm so i could not have gotten them to work with my amp anyways.

Do you think i could have some them for $700 if i had bought them tho? i was considering buying them at such a low price just to sell the for more $.

Whoa easy there tiger, a sense of humor isn't that bad of a thing to possess.

Anyways why two subs at 500 rms rather than one at 1000 rms. May just be me, but I'm a one sub kind of guy.
I'd go with the Image Dynamics IDQ V.2, DD 1515's or RE SE's, in that order if you want two. If you had 1500 watts available I'd say go with some RD Sonance's.

And I've never heard Hertz before, but a review of two HX 380 D's would be nice lol
