Alpine type r help

ok im installing my type r right now but i have a problem. When i put the 12 gage into the sub the two little jumper cables wont go into the holes on the bottom.

probably a stupid question but its got me held up

you may need a hex wrench to open those holes

i dont understand what youre asking. can you post pics or explain a little better. are you having a tough time getting the speaker wire into the sub? or what?

ya i have to push up and stick the 12 gage in right? then on the bottom of the things i push up i stick the 2 jumper cable thinigs right?

dude i dnt no what ur tryin to ask... y would jumper cables have to do nething with hookin up speakers. u mean speaker wire? lol

well for push terminals just push em down until the holes line up, stick the 12 gauge in the hole. and then just release it....

ok ya thats what im doing but i have two little cables that came with the type r one has a red end and one a black. where do i put those?

i believe some subs come with speaker wires which is probably your case

well mayb they supplied it just incase u didnt have any wire. or they attached to the sub? and how r u wiring it? series r parallel?

ooo i know what your talking about. i used to have r's. put the red wire to each red terminal and the black to each black terminal and have a 12 awg wire coming from one of the black terminals and another wire coming from one of the red terminals terminal. get what im saying?

ok ya back to my first post when i have the 12 gage in the wholes the two little cables wont go into the terminals on the bottom they are very loose and would fall out if you flicked them. why is this?

you dont have to use those... u can just use regualr wire and wire them how u know how if they are confusing you

but in the manuel it says i have to use those to get 2ohms

cut wire to the same lengths as those little things and use that in place of the little cables that came with it if those things arent staying and annoying you. they should fit pretty snug though. its up to you really. get what im sayin?
