Canon PowerShot S5IS .. it is the closest to a DSLR without going full out. It is a nice digital and you can swap the lenses but its not an actual DSLR.

I do love the upgrades you can do with it

Now all I want to know is: When the f*ck will alpine start making high end HUs with USB port on the FRONT????????

If they made like a 9887/9886 with that I'd be all over it..........

Guess I have to stick with my JVC KD-AR880 till then.

I have to agree. USB over CD's any day. I only wish my Alpine had that feature.

I love the USB, but the music has to be lossless! Compressed audio really hurts my ears :-)

I fell in love with my Pioneer Premier Ipod Ready HU... The clarity was so good... but the screen went black and then broke a month ago all together.... Dam heat in Florida

I agree, but it's mostly the humidity and not the heat that kills your gear. Trashes everything...ugh!

Dude, when I lived in Florida, they were selling this moisture absorbent thing from Lowe's or Home Depot. It was supposed to suck the humidity from the air. It worked really well, too. I used to put it in my storage shed to alleviate the friggin' mold and stuff. Worked well in cars!
