unless they are 100% efficient you would never see 10,000w out of that amp. 750amps on a 14.4 system will put out 8000watts at 75% efficiency. Thats if it could stay at 14.4 which I doubt it could.

didn't steve meade install 2 rf amps that do 16,000wrms each?

and i am sure amps like that have special power supplies like the rf has.

Yea, I'm sure Kicker over-rated the amp a few thousand watts. NOT! You guys have no idea how that amp works.

Exactly...

So many people were trash-talking the T15kW 'til the designer came in and explained the technology that allowed the 350A max draw for 15kW. Funny thing was that it went over 98% of the as$holes' heads.

I can't imagine shipping being cheap. Another thing you guys need to look at is the amp's efficiency. That's why you're paying a dollar per watt which is the same deal with JL.

In my CA&E mag i think it says its like 93% efficient. i would have to look again though.

that amp is extremely over priced imo. i mean it is a badass amp but you can get that same wattage for much less money. and lets face it a watt is a watt.

only reason i could see the advantage to this is that it is a single amp. but there are still probably much cheaper alternatives.

I cant beleive kicker has that high of a tag either. usually they seem to have a very high value but in this case i would have to say they do not.

a doller a watt is unprecidented for kicker i think they should be ashamed. espichally since its a 10k watt amp, you should get a higher watt per doller value since you are buying more watts.

C'mon man, don't be a retard. The reason you're paying so much is for the research and D that's in that amp and it's insane efficiency. I thought you guys would understand it. By the way Rovin, there was a competitor that switched from 4 ZX2500s to a Warhorse and put up better numbers and it was FAR more efficient. That amp is also not made for the average joe as some of you smart people probably realize.

Without doubt, the Warhorse has the size and power, but it also houses a secret under its enormous shroud. The WX10000.1 revolutionizes traditional amplification with its signal-modulated, ultra-high-efficiency design. It amplifies audio signal directly to DVC subwoofers from the patent-pending, signal-modulated power supply, rather than relying on help from amplification circuits found in traditional Class D or Class A/B designs. This results in efficiency ratings unheard of in mobile audio -- 90-percent efficiency at a 2-ohm load and 93-percent efficiency at a 4-ohm load at full power!

It's not an SQ amplifier for one JK, two it's meant to be used in non-practical installs such as comp cars. Lots of competitors feed distortion to their subs when burping. For musical applications it's something to worry about. Who needs 10K rms for music though? Hmm...some people do!

im just thinking when converting signal multiple times it could add extraordinarily harmful distortion to the signal. but i didn't make the amplifier so i'm sure they tested it. i'd never buy it, lets leave it at that

Its rated with 1.5THD. If you are running that amp, I dont thing you are worried about SQ or even SQL for that matter.

Sorry if it seemed like or I was being an aszhole but if you think about what that amp can do with it's efficiency versus current draw and you're getting a great deal if you can afford it. The thing is if you can afford that amp you can most surely afford a multiple alternator setup in an SUV but it'd be nice to run at 4ohms in a smaller car with a single alternator.

All that aside I can't wait to see until they come out with more affordable amps with the same technology in a strappable design as well if possible. There's a lot in store for us car audio guys in the future.
