need more info, what are most of the shows around you iasca, dbdrag, usaic. 4-18" in a wall correct,also what for charging system do you have in mind ho alt or batt.

i going with a 300 alt from EA unless u know someone that makes them better? some of the new batts coming out need spcs to see how many i need. and can you help me find what happens around were like usaci WF. i'm in lincoln NE 68521 thanks scott

i would say 2- 3250.1 should be good. you should only need 1 extra battery with that alt

you can go to usaic web site and get a list of events, also dbdrag. i am not very familiar with usaic so i dont know how much help i will be, canaan , zac, or kennt from rd should be able to help with them.
i can help you with iasca and dbdrag

300a alt 2 battery-1 stock location - 1 extra is more than enough for a 600a draw

Stock...

No limit on number of alternators, or capacitance. System voltage must not

exceed 14.7 volts DC.

Pickups may have equipment (batteries, amps, crossovers, etc.) located in the bed. This

equipment may not protrude above the factory bed rail or more than 36 inches from the front wall

of the factory bed. (not the bed lip). No Speakers or enclosures are allowed outside the cab. Bed

cuts are not allowed. Factory panels may be removed in the cargo area to facilitate system

installation. Podiums will be allowed.


Stock

0 - 600 watts (max 1 amplifier, 1 Battery + Stock)

601-1800 watts (max 3 amplifiers, 1 Battery + Stock)

1801-3000 watts (max 4 amplifiers, 2 Batteries + Stock)

3001 & up watts (unlimited amplifiers, unlimited batteries (size and quantity)

no limit on the alts in stock class... BUT look at the site and choose your class carefully...also check out the scores in those classes to see what a good score might be

if your not going to compete in USACI check out what scores youll need in dbdrag superstock or
iasca advance 3 ...if you decide to run dual alts

not to step on toes but the idea of two alts seems better to me for daily use ...I mean what kind of idle amperage is one 300 amp alt going to give for daily use (im asking)
