For my friend......... We need two 10" problem is they have to fit some specific requirements.

At least 400w power handling each

Has to work with a sealed box 1.25 cu.ft. per sub (before displacement)

Max mounting depth 5 1/8 inches (its a standard cab truck box)

That last one is the problem....... shallow mounts subs always seem to suck. So anybody know of any good subs that will work here?

Hmm I will look into those

One other thing: As cheap as possible, he doesn't want to spend a lot, he just needs moderately decent stuff. I wanted to use CVRs since they're $80 each but they're too deep......... if we can't find anything else we could make rings and make them fit though.

make the rings and get the cvrs...all the work would def. be cheaper than the diamonds

the only diamonds that could work are the DS10's because of the mounting depth, but they can only handle 200rms. i bet u can push them a lil more but def not to 400rms. i was looking at the D3's but they require a 5.6in mount depth.

I may be wrong, but with 1.25 cu ft per 10" sub you may be able to get away with ported, and I've heard a DS12 running off of under 200 watts rms in a ported box between 1.5 and 2 cu ft and it sounded pretty decent.
