Belt driven alternators off drive line? A guy was asking me today he says he needs 600 amp. Just to keep 3 Batteries charge while driving. while parked stock alt will have to do it all! I started thinking about my personal jeep and H3ll if it's possible I might do it. A 4k will take 400amp alone full draw at 1ohm.

i suppose you could add as many alts as you want if you just make an independent system external from under the hood

I have seen it done in a mag before. I know it is possible. He just had a bracket with 3-4 alts on it with a belt running to all of them. Looked crazy.

I've seen full size Chevy Silverados (LOTS of extra room under the hood) with 4+ alternators on them....... ya can bet those people spent BIG $ on those custom setups though.
