This sub is incredible. There is a reason why everyone reps the MAG and I've got to hear it. This thing sounds better, sounds louder, hit the lows with authority, and is just all around is better than my SSD. The output is fantastic on it. Played a few songs like Air Forces, Dopeman, Hypnotize, and Yellow Corvette and every song was heavenly. I give this sub a 10 out of 10 and I would give the SSD a 7 out of 10. First time wiring up a sub for me and it ended up taking about 10 minutes total.

Funny story though, I had to go out and grab some more 14 gauge wire cause the wire from the SSD was too short to reach the terminals on the MAG. Went to Shop A and they had every gauge except 12 and 14 gauge. Go to Shop B, closed. Go to Tweeter, they don't sell it by the foot. Go to BB (I got desperate), and the guy was confused. Go back to Shop A and buy some 16 gauge and call it a day. This running around took me about 2 hours total. Get home try to run the 14 gauge again and turns out, it fits perfect....2 hours completely wasted :-( .....BTW, thanks to Jesse D

A few pics I took with my phone :-(

I'll get better pics and some videos by the middle of this week for you guys :-)Upload

Lol Kevin. After I put it in there earlier, I took a look and said "I can definitely fit a bigger box in there" lol. So we'll be seeing a 3.75cuft box tuned to 30hz back there over the summer probably lol.

Thanks for the comments guys.

you might p|ss yourself when you go ported :-) .. output will be way more

i was really surprised in the diff between my XXX sealed and ported.. now it will not keep up with insanely fast notes like some double bass from some metal but i can't think of any ported 15"s that can

Very glad to see Yanks. This sub did wonders for me and it looks like for you as well. It just demands respect doesn't it? A real bully that hits as clean as it looks. Nice box build BTW.

Thanks Paul. I love it man. Been worth every second of the wait to hear this thing man.

Alex, it gets pretty damn loud imo. The trunk is awkwardly shaped but once you build a few boxes, you get used to it. I like mine though. Been through a few problems with it but it still runs good and gets me around with no issues.

Thanks a bunch guys.

Mark, the phone is a Chocolate.

Rob, it is a great feeling when things come out as planned. Makes life easier.

I went over to my friends house cause he was back in town from college. He wanted to hear it so I let him listen to In Da Hood by Trae. My car was parked in the driveway and I turned it up and he was amazed at it. We went back inside and his mom and sister came from upstais saying what the hell was that lol.

Missed your question Donnie.

The sub is in a 3.15cuft sealed box. So about 2.95cuft after driver displacement. It is getting about 1krms. Probably less from the Hifonics lol.

Getting a new amp in a few months for it.

It will be there Sean. Depending on how much money I can make between now and then, maybe even see a new amp....but I'm not gonna get my hopes up lol. The output of the Mag, even in the sealed box, exceeds the SSD and sounds better than the SSD.

Lol Killer, 4gauge? Talk about overkill LOL. Crutchfiled is down in Charlottesville isn't it man? Like a 2 hour drive for me lol. If you wanna hear it Killer, just let me know bud. We'll find a place to meet and I'll let you hear it bud.

Good stuff yanks. You also did a VERY nice job on that box. Glad to hear that you are enjoying it. Just wait till you get rid of that hifonics, it will be so much cleaner. When I got rid of it and put that massive on my 9515, the sound was like night and day. SO much cleaner. Then when I put the RD 1750.1 on it, that was een better than the massive. I will never buy another hifonics lol.

my install should be done soon :-)

Snow was kidding Josh lol.

Thanks Nick(both of you lol). The amp gets the job done but my new amp hopefully will make a difference.

Steven, I don't think I would be able to run that on my stock electrical. I got my amp choices down to three options. Just gotta make the decision and make the money lol.

Ehren, what can I say. I'm a model citizen lol. Jk

you could probobly run 1000rms on your stock electrical with the saz. its very efficient. I have a 105 amp alt and im running about 1000rms and my lights dimmed more running 600rms from my rockford than they do now with the saz.

It's been brought to my attention that I made it sound like I was displeased with my SSD. Here is a statement I made when asked about the two subs.
"I was impressed with my SSD. IMO, the SSD isn't THAT far behind the MAG."

Yanks I run one of my RD 1750.1 (2krms total) daily on stock charging with no problems at all. I'm sure yours could handle an efficient amp that does 1.5k or so with big 3 and maybe an extra batt in the back. Never hurts to try. You can always turn the gains down.

Yea I guess I could Nick. We'll see what happens. This is going to be my last system for at least a year, but probably two so I don't really want to put a huge system in this car. Going to start doing performance upgrades on my car now. Gotta start learning performance information now lol. Don't worry though, I'm not leaving Ecoustics anytime soon

Maybe I'll run across some extra money next year and buy a spl vehicle. Who knows lol.

Nice sh!t, man. Bet that sounds nice. BTW I have 1kW + 60A draw from the NINe.4 on my 55A Tracker alt, and it does alright. Barely any dimming and my voltmeter never dips below 12.25 even at idle. That's on music though. Test tones are another story. lol

Thanks Dope. I hope I get around to building a ported box for her. She deserves it lol.

I get a little dimming I can notice at night but nothing too large. Gonna go get myself a voltmeter here off eBay one of these days and a dmm tomorrow and set the gains myself this time around.
