we are making a new box for my 18"Q and thinking this would look good will it preform at its best? thanks o and its still in my Explorer 10 cuft @ 28Hz

Port side seemed better in my experience, it maybe gets louder, and doesn't seem to beat the sh!t out of the rear hatch as much. Check out my Atomic Apocalypse build, that's for an explorer.

As far as looks, just keep it flush with or below the window line.

on a TL mic.. my friends explorer was 2dB louder with subs forward and port up other subs up and port back

from my experience with sub up port back.. it hits the lows real real nice but the highs are a little not there... unless i open my door then its just crazy...i could prolly push in the brake and the shifter nob would shift back into drive just cause of the bass...not really but it vibrates a good amount..with the door open.. this is in a car tho so...
