Cant turn up for long periods so i wanted to switch to 4 MTX 10's to put less strain but hopefully be louder

What do you mean that you "Cant turn up for long periods"? Is the amplifier shutting down and going into protect? What kind of subs are you using(Model and ohm load)?

1000 rms prolly 800 real power? what model are the subs? maybe you have them wired wrong or something.

what happens when you turn it up? does it go out? 4 10" would prolly be louder given that they are same/more rms each

The Subs Are Premier.. Im sure there not pushing 1000 watts each even though they claim RMs to be that... They are Dual 4's...no there wired by one of my local shops..
And I cant turn them up for more then one song because when i do i cant start to smell em back there...And im sure burnt coil or whatever isnt a good sign
