Ok well ever since i got the sub its been making this buzzing sound but i kinda thought that these subs just did that(never had a sub this nice and deffinitly not this big). Ok well i went to a show this weekend to see Kevin and we took it out the box and fixed my subsonic filter but it still did it. So finally i emailed SSA so they told me to email mike from sound splinter so now they asked me to ship it back. so im gonna be without bump for a tiny bit what saddens me alot :-( but i'll repost on this thread as soon as i find out what is wrong with it. (never overpowered, in the right box, so fully under warranty ;) )

it only did it with the epicenter hooked up from what i saw unless it was doing it before

the ssf on the amp was set between 10-15hz

only thing i noticed about the sub was a kine of shitty winding job on the coil

both of my rl-s coils had a winding job like that. i asked mike about it and that is how they do it.

and yes with the epicenter it gets so low that it bottoms out.

no one is saying bad things about the rl-s or its build quality denim, believe me. no one will lose faith in SS because of this.

no lol, i love my XXX :-)

the RL-S is bult well, just don't like their winding job for the coil..

the buzzing sound sounded almost as if the aluminum was resonating? similar noise to a scratchy coil yet the sub was free of rubs

charles, did you ever free-air the sub to see if it still made the noise?!

no I havent free aired the sub but I will when I take It out the box this weekend. I hope no ones taking what I said in a bad way, like I love my rl-s. Its just I thought I might make a post about this because I know there's a few people who are interested in this kind of stuff. Hmm but I do wish I could get help with tuning my epicenter:-(
