1000 watt amps

unknowinlyinsane	Posted on Wednesday, August 13, 2003 - 04:25 GMT i am wondering is a 1000 watt kenwood amp any good. i am not going to comps but i want it to sound good and thump. i am trying to power a 10" power HX2
Anonymous	Posted on Wednesday, August 13, 2003 - 16:53 GMT Hell no. I had a 1000 watt Kenwood amp and simply put...it sucked. I bought a 1400 watt Boss mono amp and I swear to you it blew the Kenwood out the water. I think the Boss amp was like 40 bucks more but the results make the 40 bucks well worth it.
