Hey. I wanna get 2 jl audio w6v2's and i was wondering if a 1001.1bd rockford fosgate amp would be fine. Sending 500 watts to each sub be enough? And also, if i listen to like korn slipknot stuff like that, should i get a sealed or ported box? And what approx. dB level would i get? Thanks~!

The only problem is that the w6v2 are dual 4 ohm subs. To be ran on that amp you would have to drop the independance to 1ohm and the amp is stable at 2ohms. It might work but I have never tred it so i cant say it will for sure. I would try to find an amp that is 1 ohm stable.As for a box i would go sealed with a ported box it will be louder but sealed sounds cleaner and will give you more punch. An for db level it all depends what vehicle you are putting them in.
