Gold Member Username: MendonmafiaUSA Post Number: 1015 Registered: Aug-06 | ok so i was doing a few calcluations today and realized that i am going to ber running about 45-50 amps of current through my speaker wire for the pair of subs. i can get 8 gauge power wire for 35cents per foot. should i go for that or should i pay more for 10 gauge speaker wire. will 8 gauge fit into the sx's? |

Gold Member Username: MendonmafiaUSA Post Number: 1019 Registered: Aug-06 | yea i got some 1/0 klm and 4ga eko and klm i also have some ProIce 0ga and it is slightly larger than the 0ga klm. i am just wondering cuz i want it to fit good into my amp and subs. im not even really sure what kind of terminals the sx even has since i wont get them until friday. but the speaker terminals on my amp are about 7/32 of an inch. |

Gold Member Username: MendonmafiaUSA Post Number: 1021 Registered: Aug-06 | well actually its $.39/ft but its from knu. i actually just realized that i need to buy double too since its only one wire and not 2 lol but its still going to be cheaper than the 10ga. but do you think i could get away with 12 ga? Each sub is going to be wired to 2 ohms and recieving 1.1k watts for a total of 2.2k watts @ 1 ohm. |
