so i went to the car audio store and talked to the guy about me getting a MD3D 2k amp. for 2 FI BL 18s
so he told me if i get a good extra battery i would be fine. and i wouldnt have to get a different alternator
then some one on this forum told me i must have an HO alt.
so i asked a guy at a different car audio place and he told me one high dollar batter and a cap would be ok... i know thats not right.. never go to carfi i don't think any of them know what they are talking about some times
anyways!
i don't want to spend a ton of money on a new alt. i know a place that can rebuild them and make them a lot stronger.
pretty much what i am trying to get to is whats the cheapest way i can run that amp and not underpower it...?
local car audio shops will always tell you that you don't need ho alt. majority of them will cause they don't sell one.
if you want to run 2000 wrms efficiently, you gonna need to upgrade your alt. there is no way around it. i used to not want a ho alt also. didn't want to spend the money on a ho alt when i could use that money towards my system. anyways the ho alt is one of the most important part of your system. remember, you ain't loud unless you got the charging to back it up.
