Get the bigger one forsure. 1/0 will not fit in the mini, it would also look really wierd. I've seen Knukonceptz mini a few weeks ago they are small and they arent that great, but the bigger one looks exactly the same as my soundquest one. I'ts very nice quality.

oh and for the fuse size 1/0 should be able to handle up to almost 300 amps, so anything around there, depending on what your exactly doing with it.

For 1/0 wire you want a 300-325 amp fuse

according to what I've been told, 100 amps is fine for ~1000 wrms on 4ga, but like M.S. said you're definitely gonna want the 300-325 amp fuse when you get the 1/0, it's to protect the wire and your car from burning to the ground

it all depends on the size amp your getting.
4000rms amp needs a 400a fuse
3000rms amp needs a 300a fuse

Inline fuse size is based on the wire gauge not the amplifier. The function of the fuse is to protect the wire from burning if there's a short.

Why can some people just not understand this

100amps is fine for 4ga for now, even though 125-130 is what is supposed to be in there. the only thing with the 100amp fuse is that it will heat up and fry faster than the rec. 125/130 amp fuse.

you don't need 3/0

Thats way overkill, and would be a PITA to run a wire that thick to your alternator

You probobly wouldnt be able to get the wire to the positive post of the alt. You would need like an extended ring terminal or something lol.

as already stated the fuse size that's rec for the wire...125-130amps is to protect the wire, not that amp. the amp already has 3 fuses that protect it. so NO, it won't "hurt" your amp if your inline fuse is too small, there is just more of a risk of frying the inline fuse, WHICH WON'T HURT YOUR AMP.

x2 on what M.S. said. 3/0 is overkill, you don't need it and it will be a PITA the run through your car or even engine bay.

MS, Thieves...how do you fuse an amp that has no external fusing? Serious.

I have an amp that has no external fusing but calls for a 180A fusing. So I just fused my 1/0.

your going to want it on AC. A 50hz test tone at 0db's will work.

M.S.

I could not have said it better myself;
1. Fuse size depends on the wire not the amp.
2. 3/0 is too big for the big 3.

Justin, that 3/0 wire is tooooo big for the big 3 and 17 feet is a bit much. and like big edge head said, you might not get it on the alt.
