I just got lucky, my car is loud as hell inside, keeps most of the energy within the cabin. Now adays with my age and with popo's around it is a good thing...Polo.
for me i needed to really work on sealing the entrance to the trunk and the rear deck. i improved 3 db's just by sealing the rear deck. but still air was getting through. i knew that cause when i opened the trunk and metered, i was hitting 152+.
When I sealed off my trunk and added the foam I noticed a huge difference. Weird thing was I had the strapped 1250's but one had a bad cooling fan so I pulled it out and forgot that I only had the gain on 1/4 because it was at 1ohm strapped and I didn't want to blow it. I was like WTF, thought I had accidentally knocked the gain up somehow. I wished the cold would go away.. Polo..
nice. yeah i realized if i wanted really loud, i had to do alot of alterations to the car. i guess that was part of the reason why i gave that up. didn't want to do anything permanent to the car.
i guess the cold sux but being here in southern california, the temperature rarely drops below 60 so i wouldn't know. lol.
