2 Polk SR 12" sealed box, 1.0 cubic foot per chamber pushed by T10001BD. yes or no? any advice? or how about 2 MTX 8500's. same amp, little larger box. i'm looking for SQ and nice bass. any adive on subs, amps and/or box sizes. going into celica hatchback.
damn. When someone writes that much you should really break it up into some paragraphs. Looking at that when i open this thread just makes me want to go back. Sorry but im sure others would agree with me.
i don't know much at all about polk either, and i know the SR line is new by them. so far the reviews i have heard about them have all been positive. i am looking for SQ but also for loudness. id say 70% of the music i play will be harder type rock and then the other will be bassy type rap. so i'm looking for somthing that is going to give me precise hard hitting drum beats but also clean lows when i play rap.
i know the amp is going to be around 400 so ive seen online thus far. 250 or so on subs is ok. how do you guys feel about a 12 W6? and, would i be ok going with one really nice sub or would i better sticking with 2? i dont want to shake my whole car, i want to be able to feel the bass but it doesnt have to be competition rated.
