ok so ive decided im going to run seperate power wires for my 2 amps because i already have the one going back and i am just replacing the other with a 0ga wire. but my question is the fuse rating on my zx700.5 is 90 amp so should i use a 100 or 80 amp inline fuse. and the fuse rating on my XD2000 is 160 amp so should i use the 150 or 200 amp inline fuse?
you have to add the two fuse ratings together i learned the hrd way tried to run 2 54 amp amps off a 80 amp fuse it almost costed me the amps. get either a 250 or 300 amp agu fuse
yeah it blew the fuse but one time it surged one of my amps and melt the fuse holder. opps didnt red it through for the kicker run a 100 amp and for the xd2000 use a 175 amp fuse
if have to fuse with the rating of the wire not the amp... thats why amps already got fuses is the fuse your getting is to protect the wire and not start a fire and burn up your car
