Amp for 13w6...?

Bronze Member Username: 8ballPost Number: 15 Registered: Sep-07 | Im thinking of getting a 13w6, but not sure on the amp yet... the obvious choice would be a 500/1... but after spending $350 on the sub, along with shipping to the UK, it seems a bit too far with the price... what amp would power it, but not cost as much as the 500/1? |

They are rated at 750 rms @ 2 ohms but I have heard they do up to 900rms @ 2 ohms. i believe those subs RMS at 750 and come as dual 4 ohm so it would be a good match. Try to get some other opinions as well because there are a lot of smart people here and I am pretty new. |

Bronze Member Username: 8ballPost Number: 17 Registered: Sep-07 | well i can get the 500/1 for $330 plus shipping... so less than that is the only requirement... if nothing comes up then i can always save a little more and get it. cheers daniel, only problem is uk doesnt allow importing kicker products for some strange reason... or us doesnt allow export... something crazy along those lines... yeah was looking between 400w and 600w, why i thought the 500/1 would suit perfect... damn JL audio for their prices...  |

I shall definately look into that one... is it likely they will be the same price on other sites? as the one you put the link to wont accept international credit card payment...  the UK is sh1t for car audio!! everything is so much more expensive (for example, on ebay i saw a 12w7 in a HO wedge for £550 secondhand!! which is like $1100 roughly aint it?) and international shipping rates suck azz. my planned system is gna cost $222.83 just to import from US!! |
