Put the Mag in the right box and bang the hell out of it. If you think 1500RMS is to much the set the gain correct.

just tune your gains lower than you normally would, as in, tune your gains to the amount of power the mag is rated....

if you're looking to get rid of that (older?) mag in the future, I'd be willing to take it off your hands:-)

the new mag is only going to be available in a 12 and the only difference between it and the old mag is that it will be able to reach optimal performance in a smaller enclosure

In a quick run, these are some of the technologies used in the Mag. Copy and pasted from the SSA site.

"- XBL^2
- shorting ring
- shallow mount 5.5"
- copper-coated pole piece
- 1000RMS
- 0.8-1.0sealed // 1.5ported"

The new Mag will be able to reach the output of the current Mag in a smaller box. Also will weigh like 20lbs I believe. Nick said they don't recommend much over 1krms on it daily as it doesn't need it or like it.

Thieves, if they run a good deal on the new Mags, then who knows bud. I'll let you know first.
