Need a new alt or no? what do you guys think?

To me caps are for ppl looking for that electrical bandaid to compensate for an inadequate charging system. Also to add the "bling". There is NO substitute for an adequate charging system.

If its the 100 amp, you should be ok. If its the 80 amp, it still will be ok, but expect some dimming. I recall some one once posted something like 100 amps per 1000 watts, maybe i am confusing that with 1 fared cap per 1000 watts. Anyway.. Hook it up and see. and 200 is decent for a 180 amp alt. I paid like $140 for a 160 amp reman with life time warranty. I dont know how much power im using with 8 amps, but I have no dimming problems. I also have 2.5 fared caps, but they are used for D-blocks more then caps. Im not sure if the help, but i like the display of voltage.
