Post Number: 17176 Registered: Oct-05 | what i am about to tell you is from my experience. everyone has different views of vegas. gambling.....i like the mirage or rio. i always win there. new york new york, bellagio, and mgm grand always takes my money though. food........rio or the bellagio has the best buffet restraunt there imo. especially rio. expect to wait in line for up to an hour to get inside to eat on the weekends. its that good man. they got food from all cultures. my favorite is the all you can eat crab legs. lol. you really get your money's worth if you eat alot of the crab legs. lol. shows......if you are gonna go watch a show, go watch the cirque de soliel. its amazing. but the tickets go like hot cakes so you pretty much gotta buy it before you go. another great show is the phantom of the opera musical. you will love it. i only wish i got to see the celine dion show but tickets for that are way too expensive. lol. shopping.......ceasar's palace has some awesome shops. if you win big early in your trip, my advice is to go to the versace store and buy yourself a nice $2000 suit or a sh!tload of clothes cause most likely you will end up losing it all before you go home. at least that way you got something to take home with you. |

Post Number: 17178 Registered: Oct-05 | oh and to add......if you can, rent a car so you can go driving around. if you go right outside of north las vegas there's a neighborhood where you can pick up some herbs. some good quality stuff. also north las vegas has some casinos that have brought some luck. they are not well known. kinda looks sh!tty but you can win. and last.....don't waste your time checking out the stratosphere. nothing to see. its overrated. worthless imo. if you have time to go sight seeing, spend some of that 5 grand you got on a helicoptor ride. they fly you over the hoover dam and grand canyon. its awesome man. one of those things you'll remember for the rest of your life. |

Post Number: 17179 Registered: Oct-05 | i forgot the most important advice. lol. i wouldn't suggest you taking that much money to vegas to gamble. but if you are gonna have $5000 to gamble, don't waste your time on the little tables. just take out a couple of grand at once and go sit down on the 100 dollar minimum table. if you sit at the low minimum table like 25 dollars or something, you gonna have alot of noobs sitting there. they don't really know how to play and will the take the cards that will bust the dealer of something. that is if you are gonna play blackjack. |

You'll love it. My advice is as follows: 1. Don't play games of chance. Unless the money really doesn't mean sh!t to you, which seems unlikely at your age, play games of skill. I am an AVID poker player and had fun taking peoples money at the $1/$2 Hold Em' tables. You must understand that slots, roullette, craps etc... are LITERALLY designed for the player to lose much more often than win. Even blackjack unless you've really studied it is built for most people to lose. 2. Be careful. Lotta people in vegas looking to take advantage of you. Trick you, scam you, rob you w/e... 3. Say no to drugs. Outside of weed n' boose, don't be stupid man. 4. Get laid. I wanted to fu<k 9 out of every 10 chicks i laid eyes on. Lots of beautiful women man, enjoy  Use your good judgement, and a rubber. |

Don't eat breakfast at hardrock, I'll say that first off- it was $7+ for a glass of orange juice! Anyway, the blueman group was a pretty cool show if you like techno-ish music. There's a tower there you can go 100+ feet up and ride some rides at the top - hanging over the edge. The mexicans stand on the street corners and hand out sex fliers- you'll know the 'slap' they do when you see it  |
