Chad's mag 15 install and review....

Post Number: 17047 Registered: Oct-05 |   i got this bad boy installed this morning. wanted to get it done before the chargers and pats game and i did. the game sux btw. lol. anyways.... the box is 3.2 cuft net tuned to 30hz. took me only a couple of hours to build the box yesterday. the amp is jl 1000/1. my rd audio amp should be here tuesday. review..... this sub has awesome range. all the way from low to the upper bass, it plays it clean. songs with low bass plays really clean without losing any control while the upper frequencies just come alivve. overall awesome. now if i was to compare the sq of the sound splinter rl-s to the mag, the rl-s is still better. but not by much. the output of the mag is very impressive too. i am taking it easy cause i borrowed my friend's jl 1000/1 and i have the sub wired at 1ohm. since jl 1000/1 is stable from 1.5-4ohms, i just didn't want to go crazy yet. why did i wire it like that you ask? well i ordered a rd 1000.1 and it will be here in a couple of days. since that amp is 1ohm stable, i figured i wire the sub at 1ohm so i don't have to change it when i change my amp. lol. i would recomend this sub to anyone who is looking for a clean sounding sub which gets very loud. |
