Component speakers hook up

i have a p690ub, i dont like the sound of my 2 3way speaks, well if i get a component speakers, do i connect the 2 woofer on the rear lead and the other 2 tweeters on the front lead of the hu? please how do i connect a component speakers?

Component speakers come with a crossover. You would connect the speaker wires from the old speakers to the input terminals on the crossovers. then theres 2 sets of terminals, 1 for the tweeter and one for the mid. This is if your gunna be running components off of the HU.

For components speakers its recommended that you put an amp to them.

thanks so much for the help, ok ill do that, i believe the crossover is for to separate the sounds from the mids and tweets

Thats correct. The higher freq.s go to the tweeter and mid freq.s go to the mid driver.

oh i see now, thank you very much, im gonna working on it with my friend later, im motivated now , are you getting the p690ub or the new one which is the p600ub

I wanted front panel USB and that's the only unit that has it. And JVC HUs are not bad at all, but they're not Alpine........

And most alpine units are also too deep to fit in my dash

ya i wish my p690ub was front panel, jvc are known for great quality,that was one of my favorite source back then, do you remember the exad kd-lhx550 with sd card input? man that was the bomb, but now i got into panasonic and premier,kenwood

Hey M.S. How is browsing music on the USB with that HU? How big of a flash drive is supported, do u know?

IDK but it must be really big since it says it supports usb hard drives also.

For browsing you use the foward/back buttons to select track and it has up/down buttons to skip by folder.
