Don't ever install an HO alternator on stock wiring. When you get it, look at the pulley. If it's smaller than your stock alts pulley you've got 2 options. Either put the stock pulley on the new alternator (this causes a loss of ~10 amps at idle, not a big deal), or get a shorter belt.
