Have done some research on these and found out that alot of people didn't like the 6" port saying it was too big since the it flares to almost 9". Just what I have heard, but I did a calculation with (2) 6" at 9.64 long to save some money since they are $40 each!!!!

looks like you'll have some port noise, 2-6" is just under min. area
i would do the 6-4"

ok, heres the box i wanna do for the 18" avalanche...

6.5 tuned to 28hz.

three 4" ports. it says, "Straight Length Port required 17.01
Flare Length Port required 18.01"

im using PVC so no flares at either end. should i make the PVC 17" even?

ill prolly do 18 and cut if needed...

and three 4" ports would be like 70+ sq in of port versus 48 sq in or 96 sq in...

off the top of my head i thought 4" round was 16sq and yes 17" long you add 1"for the flare correct
