I just but a new Jl Audio 500/5 Amp. From the Specs on the JL web site, It says that that Subwoofer channel of the amp was 250 Watts RMS into 1.5 to 4 Ohms. Someone told me that JL audio amps run higher than there RMS. I don't think it's alot higher. does anyone know?

I DONT THINK YOU CAN BUT UNLESS YOU HAVE MAGICAL POWERS.(SARCASSAM)
ummmm, yes, in any respect, JL audio's amps are underrated. the amp will put out about 50-100 watts more than it says. in any case, you would have been better off going with 2 separate amps, but dont worry, JL's amps are some of the best quality out there, you should be fine.
