I have a Power Acoustik 15" MOFO sub that maxes out at 2600W. So, I bought a Power Acoustik 3000W max amp for it. I was thinking about buying a new yellow top Optima battery. The thing is, I don't know much about putting new batteries in and i want to add a 25 Farad Capacitor in the mix. How do i do this?
the capacitor won't help you, and the yellow tops make lousy starter batteries. yellow top deep cycle batteries are meant to be isolated and run independantly of the starter battery which would be better off as a red top.
stop using max ratings and stick to RMS for amps and speakers, too.
