Ok, without too much detail lets just say I am limited to getting some things at Walmart. I know, bad word. But if you absolutely had to, would you pick Sony, or Lightning Audio for subs, 10inch?

both range nicely in the upper crap range...
...but what do ya mean you have to? even using staff discounts won't make you happy in the end...

Again, I realize they are not so hot, but need opinions anyway on which one. I am leaning to LA since they were bought out by Rockford Fosgate and the new stuff looks more solid.

My first set of subs when I started out with my first system was 2 10" Lightining Audio subs. They were fairly loud but had no SQ at all. I would definatly pick these over Sony because my two tens lasted for over a year with hard playing every day and still pound in my friends system.

Go with the Lightning Audio, its RF made so it should keep you in bussiness. Stay away from the sony AMPs and such, they will give you headaches later if not the day you buy it.
