my friend is willing to sell me his orion xtreme 900x2 amp. its 450 watts with 2 channels. retail is like 1000 dollars, but i think he blew the amp. he says it would take 200 dollars to fix and he wants to sell it to me for 100. is this a good deal, and is this even a good amp
Look around at shops that are authorized to fix the amp, and possibly call Orion to double check their warranty, pricing, etc. Wherever your friend bought the amp from should be able to fix it or send it in if it's under warranty. If you can't figure out how to get it fixed, don't buy the amp. Orion makes great amps, by the way, if you can get it fixed it's worth the money.
