2pac, BIG, and M all get way to much credit...but dead rappers do get better promotion

There is no greatest rapper of all-time...There are to many diffrent areas that would make it a true statement...Almost like the Greatest system...It can never happen

But personally I like..JR Writer, Joe Buddens, Canibus, Fabolous, Lil Wayne, Dro, and a few others....But there is no GREATEST!!

I like him.

Remember my age lol.

I never got into rap. I just didn't pin it as musical, only vocal. In my age I DID like rob base and run DMc, beastie boys, ect....

Now I like anything with a good fun rhythm. Akon, shaggy, Timbaland, ect....

But always enjoy my classics. What they are you may never know.

I have been listing to rap my whole life...and I have never heard what makes eminem, 2pac, or biggie so great...Biggie was the best of the three though...

And please dont say well he sold this many albums, only bitc$es buy albums for the artwork..or well he changed the game...bs nobody has changed the rap game it has been the same since the beginning, cause a nigga is a nigga no matter what he talking about...I may not no how to hot wire a car but i no a nigga when i see one...

Exactly. It's 100% opinion. Bizzy Bone is quicker than Twista IMO, and Emilio Rojas can get pretty damn quick.

Come on guys we are talking about Apples and oranges. Pac, Biggie, Nas have different style of rapping. The only way to find out is a freestyle as we all know its to late for that.

Tupac without a doubt, if he was still here, half these new weak rappers wouldn't even be around, i personally don't think they'd be rapping about all the stupid sh1t they do if pac was around, all it took was for pac to die for tehse peopel to get a chance, soon as pac died, deathrow went down, no limit came up, cash money came up, if deathrow stayed and pac didn't die, itd be a WHOLE DIFFERENT story...

lol... bow wow... i disagree there, just not a fan of the whole fresh az im iz style... lol, jp. But MO, esham, im likin that, he is a legend. but for the 2pac thing. Hes just simply a GREAT rapper. he died a long time ago and had enough music recorded that hes still releasing albums after hes dead and gone. How can you say thats not great? And eminem, hes gotta be on the list somewhere due to his freestyle abilities. Hes just so quick to think of a rhyme its crazy. Check out some of his underground freestyles. And lil wayne, hes just a god like rapper, im hearing new songs from him every week. And his music as of right now is my favorite because its so unique.

You are all being ridiculous. 2 pac has to be hands down the greatset of all time because he had presence that no other rapper had nor will have. He might not have had the lyrical ability of some new york rapper but his charisma carried much further than anybody else in rap history. Even white people could really become his music. Even when some of his music was obviously anti-white, we could forget that just because of the sound of his voice mixed with the beat.

Of course this is like beauty and it is in the eye of the beholder but truly think about his best songs, who didn't like them? Only an ignorant hater could dislike his best work. I think what helped him however was dying while at the top of his career. People will always remember those songs the most and not this garbage that has been produced since his death. (You know where they take his raps and mix them with some lame beat.)

I see that some of you are listing newer rappers, you should be ashamed of yourselves. I would say that 90% of all current rappers are just stupid ignorant people who grew up in the projects listening to artist like tupac thinking that rapping about how they spend the money they make off you buying their cd will get them out of the ghetto. But same as country folk you can take a mutha out of the hood but you cant take the hood out of a mutha.

Bottom line or shall we say closing statement. Tupac is the greatest of all time because he made music that everybody could love. And most newer rappers are idiots so please keep illegaly downloading songs because they dont deserve the money.

^^^^Agreed to the fullest, most rappers these days will spit out about 5 albums max and maybe 2 of em will be labeled great, tupac had 5 before he died and imo 3 of the 5 could be labeled unbelievable in terms of lyrics and beats (Thug Life, Me against teh world, and All eyez on me), and plus the man has had stuff come out after his death that i feel is superior to new stuff, and all he has to it is the lyrics, just imagine if he was still around to mess wiht the beats
Best Rap Albums every created--All Eyez On Me, Makaveli:The Don KilluminatI
hands down imo
