do my batteries have to be under800cu in together or each battery under 800? or does that just apply to the back battery?

and i have to have all my back trim as well correct?

does all of my equipment have to be in the cargo area?

and if all in the cargo area my available space is 36wx17tallx25 deep =/

and have you ever dealt with spl in a wagon? i need a starting point for my box design.=/

thanks for the help man!!

In USACi stock 601-1800, you are allowed 2 batts. One in factory location, one in cargo area. Neither batt can be over 800cuin by itself.

Yes, you must have all factory pannels in place.

Yes, all equipment must be in cargo area.

Hello hunter,

Batteries,
I need to know if your running stock or pro stock.

Trim,
No, this is tricky though, different cars are enforced differently. However the general rule of thumb is panels in the cargo area can be removed.

Cargo area,
Yes all equipment must be in the cargo area and must not exceed the height of your window line.

The depth is killing us. Normally I would run subs up ports back but in this case subs forward port towards back facing up may work. I'd like to know the overall distance from the back hatch to the front kick panel. Also, what is the width of the cabin and what is the height from the floor to roof, in the cargo area, passenger area, and front passenger area. (I'm trying to gather enough info to find the overall volume of your cabin)
Sometimes finding the note can be time consuming so every measurement will save time from having to build multiple boxes.
However, trial and error is the best way to build an SPL vehicle.

Do your seats fold down, hey can you post a pic of your interior in this thread?

I can be a better help if i knew more about the cabin space we're working with.
So many cars are different, the Expedition I have does 150's TL with 2 12's facing back ports back but the Explorer liked them on them firing sideways.

It's all about measuring the note where it has the most velocity.
Simply put, a sound begins with a compression, refraction and compression to create a full cycle and we want the SPL meter to measure the amplitude of your car where the pressure is greatest with those cycles. :/ (thats a run-on sentence isnt it)
In between those points we have condensation and rarefaction.

``````````Here<```````to```````>Here= 17.9ft
;;...............;;...............;;...
..;;...........;;..;;...........;;..;;.
....;;.......;;......;;.......;;......;
......;;...;;..........;;...;;.........
........;;;..............;;;...........
example:
A full cycle at 63hz will be roughly 17.9ft in length.
Imagine that full 63hz cycle and correlate that with a race track.
If compression and refraction points were the curves on the track, this would be where the particles have the least velocity.
We want the physical placement of the meter to be in between those points, sort of like the straight away where the particle will be moving the fastest, this is where condensation occurs :D
We can find this place with some simple math.
So you see having the meter in the correct place is just as important as the build.
I'll tell you more about this over the phone because I'm not sure i'm explaining this very well using analogies haha.
Don't be so worried about power though, a few Kinetiks will provide plenty of power.
I'm rambling on, just got back from dinner and had a few drinks so I'll give ya a shout tomorrow.
Feel free ta call me at the shop anytime, even late. 608-365-3500
If you get price cuts on products through a company...you can be considered Pro-stock.
There has been alot of controversy over this kinda thing.
