i am upgrading my subs. I currently have 2 polk mm2124. I am thinking about upgrading to 2 polk SR124's or 2 Fi Q12's. Do you guys think that the SR's are better than the Fi Q12's and is there a big difference between any of those subs?

I would not choose Fi, but they are way better than Polk.

For the money the Polks don't compete with Fi, but the SRs sounds pretty nice (I heard them ported @ 32 hz) they had decent SPL and sounded clean. I personally would look into a one or two of the new version RD Audio Elites. The site doesn't have the newest version on them yet, but if you give Steve Miller an email he will help you out. The site is RDaudio.net, but look for Steve's email rather than finding the Elite under products.

For straight SQ, you can try the DIYMA12 at diymobileaudio.com. SoundSplinter, AudioPulse, Fi, Ascendant Audio, etc all make subs that can do what you need.
