What amp do i need?

What would be a good amp to get? I have a 92 honda accord with the speakers that came with the car.. i want to get new ones for it what should i get??

i would recomend a ed nine.1 but,as little as them subs looks i doubt they could take 500 a pieace

size of the sub wont determine how much power it'll take.

I'd use a 1200 watt amp for 2 12"s bridged. this is just for the subs. i know folks who run 2 10's w/ 1 1200 watt amp. I think it would sound great. Kennwood amp.

Not to mention assigning amp power to subs based only on size.

Stephen, you're looking for a mono amp around 1000w at 2 ohms.
The zx750.1 would work well, or the zx1000.1.
The infinity 1211a would be nice, Alpine mrp-m850 -- lots of others.
