when i turn off the car i hear a popping sound any sugetions?

get one of those stiffening capacitors, doesn't have to be a big one, hook it up to the power wire. get a 220 uF 25v capacitor from radio shack and hook it up between the remote wire and ground. this should solve any popping noises and also many other noise issues you can encounter.

Do you have an EQ or crossover network before the amps in your system? If so then you can put a 1000uf 20v capacitor from the positive to the negative on the power source and it will alow the amps to turn off before the EQ turns off. This will eliminate the thump.

The first post is wrong. You use the REMOTE wire, not the Positive. Sorry.
