So since Im out of the loop on all the new goodies out there.

If I wanted to put together a little system for say an 01 Silverado Extended cab what would you recommend? Also Ive never installed anything like this so would it be possible under the seat?

Budget would be around $500 for sub and amp. I have plenty of 1/0 wire lying around and my sexy Pioneer DEH-P8600MP Head Unit so I need none of that.

BTW IMO SPL > SQ so decent sounding but the louder the better.

Dok, i would talk to woodlawn and see if he knows if its possible. i know he makes many boxes like the one your talking about. see how much room you have to work with.

one audioque 2.5 12 164 shipped leaves you 336 for an amp www.audioque.com

it has a very adjustable subsonic filter.. a regulated power supply.. and puts out the same power at 1,2,3, or 4 ohms $244.95= $408.95 ...that will pound and will be easy on your alternator

if you go with an hdc3 go with the 15 that way youll be better on the low end but you will need more power and it looks like you have a 105 amp alternator and that will be pushing it charging wise ....but others will probably disagree with me ....trust me ill be right in the long run....the audioque 2.5 12 and phoenix gold xenon will be a perfect match with your charging and the 2.5 with have a tighter low end than the hdc3's and still slam (my bro owns the hdc3 12 and the audioque 2.5 12 so ive heard both first hand)

heres the audioque 2.5 12 in action the sound of the low end at the end was affected by the tailgate being open but its tight as you can see tailgate closed

Ive run 1200 on a 105 amp alt with no problems on the older HD3 no problem.

I dont see a 15 fitting under the seat the way I want. So thats probably not happening.

Im not willing to give up any of the back seat so unless it goes under the seat its not gonna happen.
