There's this store near me that used to sell Alpine car audio stuff but now they're going out of business so they have a lot of their older stuff for sale at cost. They have some 2ohm DVC Alpine type R's, but they're the older ones. They say they can only handle 300rms on the box and I have a RF 550.2 (but on the birthsheet it says it does 550 watts at 2 ohms but I thought it did it at 4 ohms bridged, or am I saying the same thing?). Is it worth it to get that older type R for $95 or will I just blow it/just get a newer version. Also, they have an older Type R that is a 4 ohm SVC, but it was in a different box. Anyone know what kind of wattage the SVC Type R can handle, and if it's worth it to get any of this stuff? I think they also have some new Type S's for like $60 for 12's. I'm trying to save $ and space in my 02 Blazer for a SQ set-up, so I was just thinking 1 older type R, but I dk how good they are. Any answers?
