Need Advice

What I have is a Legacy 2000 watt amp and 2 pyramid 1200 watt imperial subwoofers. The RMS is 600 on these. I have not hooked it all up yet, but what is the best way to get the most bass and thump out of these without blowing them? I think the amp may be too powerful, but I do not want to get a different one. Thanks!

well, dont worry about your amp being too powerful. it is most likely more like 300-400 watts. and that is the most you can put to a pyramid sub and have it sound half-decent. im sorry you wasted your money on that, try to research more before you spend your money next time, but for now, that amp should be fine for those subs, you dont have to worry about blowing them.

It is a 2 channel amp, so you are saying it is only putting out about 400 watts? That is only 200 per channel. How is that possible?

Andrew
its possible because Legacy is not the way to go, ive had them, hated them, got rid of them....i had a 1000w legacy and it was prolly 250 RMS
