Chad I would love to see you "jam" to some metal.

I was a "hair nation" follower in the 80's and 90's.

Metallica had some good/great songs.

Most of the good productions and low bass are in the progressive metal category with bands like Symphony X, Pagan's Mind, Dream Theater, Nevermore, Fate's Warning, Liquid Tension Experiment, Shadow Gallery, Angra etc.

There are some heavier (approaching true metal) bands that also have great productions like Devil Driver, Carnal Forge, Dimmu Borgir, Dark Tranquillity, and Kataklysm.
